RoWG and SSMD chapters

Hello everyone,

Here are a few releases against Monday Blues. When talking about Monday Blues, the song Existence by Wang Feng came to mind.

Congrats to Portugal for winning the EuroCup 2016. France… Next time in 2020…

I’ve been asked about having a more regular releases schedule, but, unfortunately, my work schedule is irregular and it’s a fact that will never change, so there’s no way I can have a regular schedule for release. Unless, I win the lottery which I never buy tickets for and forget about donations, such irregular income is only possible for super translators. I will only ask you guys to donate lots of love, patience and fun gossips or anecdotes or stories.

Anyway, I’ll keep releasing on specific date since the date is chosen according to my irregular working schedule.

About SSMD… It will stay as a side-project until I get the hang of the new glossary terms in it and the writing style. You will know when it will become an official project.

See you on July 16th!

RoWG – Chapter 28

SSMD – Chapter 10

You should stop translating Record of Washed Grievances because Nutty is translating it and they are ahead of you by 20+ chapters. But the Secret Service Mysterious Doctor isn’t being translated by anyone else and you are doing a good job at it. FYI if you want to check if there are other people translating the same novels you can go to novelupdates.com. The site keeps track of when and where new updates come from.

*scratches head* It’s not a complicate story, but a long one which I’ll make it short. Me and Sian, who translated RoWG on Nutty’s wordpress, know each other and for various reasons we translate the same project, but are not competing on the releases because we have different reasons for translating RoWG. To sum it, I will not stop translating RoWG, but I do understand the your underlying worry about the speed of translation of SSMD.

So, I’ll say it from my point of view… RoWG is a necessary project to solidify my translations skills and mastery of Chinese that will help better translated SSMD and Whispers. It’s also a breather project. I’m planning from a long term perspective. Speed of translations will pick up as time past, but this is not going to happen in the span of a few weeks as much I would like it to be possible.
I don’t know if my reply clarify some things for you?

I understand completely. I was just worrying about your number of readers. If I was translating a novel I would want a lot of people to read my translations. It was my mistake. I’ll be sure to follow your post.

As the other person who is doing the translation for ROWG, I also enjoy Grenn’s translation… Grenn’s translation is actually so much more professional than my own translation. ‘Bowing my head to Grenn.’ As Grenn said, we both picked up this novel not knowing that we’re doing the same translation. I personally love the characters in ROWG so much that I’m willing to take on translating the novel while reading it at the same. 😃

It’s alright. I understand your point of view. Let’s leave it at it. 🙂
